Clarification on Detolf open space problem

Detolf owners are aware that placing a 17quot; statue in the display case requires that you remove the shelf above. This creates an esthetics problem. There is way too much open space to look at.

Maybe it is just me, but I find myself focusing in on that open area. Previously I passed on most Bowen statues measuring over 16quot; tall to avoid this situation.

Using the custom cut glass shelf allows me to place the narrower shelf at the level that is missing a shelf.

You can get glass cut to any size from a picture frame store. I chose the thicker glass because to get the glass temperred is expensive.

To answer one of the members question: it would take a hammer using alot of force to shatter one of those Ikea temperred glasss shelf.

Good info, but could this have not been posted in the other thread?

Welcome to the forum.

This solution might help in arranging our displays. Great info, I appreciate it!!
