Producing so many complex units of anything takes a long time. Plus, it's not like GG owns a factory. They share one. And then there's shipping...

It doesn't matter if the units are complex or not. GG is not utilizing the star wars liscense to it's full potential. I don't think releasing a bust every other month would be too hard,other companies do it.

If you make good products

ppl will buy them


i would rather wait then have them rush and start lacking in quality plus gives time to get money ready for them. Besides they are doing more than just mini busts they got the maquettes and soon for lotr too plus statues corpse bride and harry potter among others so the time set if fine with me

So what they only have two or three sculptors?
Jim Maddox cranks out busts left and right like other artists. GG can't get a few people with talent to knock some more work out?? I'm sure the could afford it, the market is available to them.
Yes I'm aware of GG's other products and I still think they are sitting on a golden egg with the Star Wars liscense. How many statues have they done in what period of time? How many busts since they started?
The variant colors don't count. I'm sorry you think it's good that you can save up money in-between their releases. I don't.
I think SS is becoming what GG should have been.

As far as I know, very little of Gentle Giant's sculpts are straight from artists. Anything with armor, or a medallion, or a ring, or anything of that nature is laser scanned from the actual props. I imagine getting access and getting quality scans, sizing, sculpting and fixing facial scans etc etc takes a lot longer than Maddox or anyone else could just crank out a sculpt (not meant with any sarcastic tone).

I hear ya.
But would it not then be easier if you could just throw an object in and scan it,
then have a machine do all the work? If not maybe they should get somebody to sculpt for them.
