Iron Man Colors, forget about armor, lets talk color..

I always remember Iron Man as red and YELLOW in all the key Avengers books like #50-125.  Whats wrong with a YELLOW Iron Man.  And all the early Iron Man comics of his own name were YELLOW.

What's with this brassy copper colors.  Yeah I own both busts and 3 full sizes of the fella (gold buckethead-the silver made me throw up).

So any how, why don't we have a Classic YELLOW Iron Man full size statue.  Who cares about hulk buster, stealth, centaurian, or drunk Tony.

Give us a YELLOW normal lookin Iron Man.

Right????????????????????????????

And who would want a BLUE Iron Man?

Now if they only made 100 BLUE's, I of course would be 1st in line to order one.  But again, Iron Man is red and
YELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

The color scheme is probably the number 2 reason why The Avengers are the most popular characters in the Marvel World.   Ist reason is the look of the characters.

U got blue and white cap, Green Hulk, Thor Red cape and his other color mixes, along with the bright YELLOW Iron Man red combo.  And throw in a flesh tone sub-mariner and you got GREAT COLOR BALANCE.   This is why the Avengers were so popular.  They looked great on paper, color paper like comics.

The mix of these colors and throw in the occasional light blue quicksilver, lime green vision, purple hawkeye, and the colors are very pleasing to the COMIC artist world.  

Similar to the Justice League, the balance of different bright colors make the TEAM look attractive to the comic reader eye.  It made each guy look cool in their own way.

Yellow Iron Man is similar to Red Flash in the DC world.  The red/yellow mix just carries very well in the comic world.  By the way, if any sculptor ever made a definitive Flash statue, they could sell 10,000 of them.   He's so cool lookin, but no sculptor has ever captured his essence or speed.   Yeah I've seen some flash statues, there all watered down flashes, no brillances of speed.  They all look drab and slow.

Anyhow, red yellow iron man is the way to go.   I own one by the way that I bought from ARH in Brazil.   This is the best Iron Man statue ever made.   and its yellow.   Better than Bowen too.   And i like randy's work a  lot.   But, brassy iron man just dont't cut it.

That s my 3 cents.

There really is nothing wrong with a yellow and red Iron Man statue. These are the colors from the comics, even modern ones are more yellow than gold.

Personally I think gold just looks better and given the choice would get that (or both). The upcoming DST statues are yellow as opposed to gold in color and they unfortunately look very toyish partly because of that.

This comes down to personal preference much like the White/Silver Moon Knights.
