UJ/Ultimate Deadpool Conversion DONE!!

It's finally done!  Given the subject matter, I've posted this in the Bowen and Sculptor's Corner sections.

If you've been following, this used to be a Union Jack mini-bust.  And here's the final product.  I can't sculpt at all, so that was minimally done, but the whole thing is 100% hand painted, no airbrushing, no blocking.

I'll add this to the ol' portfolio when I apply for the Bowen painting job...

wow very nicely done!  How did you sculpt on the cuffs?

By hand, basically.  It's sculpey, I didn't have the cash to grab any Aves at the time.

YES!

I think it looks great Sam!

I too am trying to do my own customized pieces...

Any painters here want to chime in on how to get the traces of the previous paint job to not show up as much, or at all?  (You can clearlee see UJ's uniform under the Deadpool paint job at this resolution....I have the same problem on some of my stuff...suggestions?)

Sammy, what kind of paint did you use?

I think it is awsome that you have a character you like, saw a new spin on him, had an idea, and followed it through to completion, all by yourself!!

Congrats!

Somewhere in a dark  corner mwf sobs ...

Well, the UJ design underneath was actually sculpted in, like grooves in the bust, that's why it's still showing up.  I couldn't fill the grooves with sculpey without messing up the anatomy, and I'm not good enough to resculpt all of it.  I tried to lay several layers of paint down on the lines to make them not show up so much, and it worked a little.  They're much less obvious than they were before.

great paint job, the orignial shows through though...think next time some filling in/sanding before hand.......looks great, very nice paint job

Again, filling in wasn't an option cause I'm a sucky sculptor.  Sanding would have messed up the sculpt, since the grooves were so deep.

I'm a painter, let someone else sculpt it, hehe.

GJ! I like it better than the original DP or UJ (but I'm not really a fan of either character).
