To box or not to box...

that is the question...

I have a chance to get a Magneto statue for $100, but it doesn't have the box. How much value does the box add to the statue, it's been selling for $175ish on the bay, but that's with the box... think it's worth it?

I'm not too sure on the drop in value, but I would never buy the statue without the box.

If you can get it in person it could be a good deal but if it's going to be mailed forget about it.

I wouldn't risk getting it mailed without the box. It would only sell for about $100 on ebay without the box I think

It's local, so no shipping required, but still... I guess if it's the same as getting it on ebay without a box it's not such a great deal.

I'd take it for 75$ prolly.

If you just want the statue for yourself, and it can be SHIPPED SAFELY then that's not too bad. Go lower.

Exactly.

Plus, if you do buy it in person. Make sure it's one you think you will never get rid of. Shipping it without the original styro is asking for trouble.

Like everyone said. Would try to get the price lower, even if it's only 10 -15$, but, at the end of the day, the choice is yours, depends how much you want it.

To sum it up, two things: 1) Local sale 2) You don't plan on reselling. Once those two things are met - go buck crazy! (Well, and a good deal on it)
