Need help identifying a sketch!!!!!

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone can tell who is the artists behind this Superman sketch and from what comic is it from!

Now, for everyone out there, who do you think is the ultimate Superman artist? and which image represent him the most?
Any help is appreciated!!!
Thanks guys

From the style, I'm guessing that's Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez.

I don't know but it would make for a killer sculpt ... are we going to see one???

McLovin, I think you pointed me in the right direction!!! I am looking for Jose art, and it is similar to the image I posted, I will keep searching a little more to see if I can find more info.
Jade, I am in search of Superman quot;ultimate look and posequot; for a project, and I think this image pretty much cover all the aspects, it has the traditional Supes breaking chaines pose, plus shows the strengh of the character.

No problemo, amigo....
I'm like an encyclopedia of useless knowledge and I seriously know my quot;old schoolquot; artists.   Originally Posted by alterton

The quot;ultimatequot; Superman artist will always be Curt Swan.
There's no other artist in history that truly made Superman his own character like Swan did...  and probably ever will.

As for an image that truly quot;representsquot; the power of Superman...?

Neal Adams captured one of the all-time classic images of Supes:

I liked John Byrne's run on Superman!

It is indeed Garcia Lopez art, but apparently it is promo art released by DC a few years ago and it seems it is not in a comic book, sh!t!!! I am digging a little more, there must be more info somewhere, I have check most of DC Superman covers, and nothing.
I see what you say about Swan, can't argue about that, thing is Garcia Lopez seems to be more visually appealing. But, that is my humbel opinion.
Thanks again dude.
MW, any particular pose or image from Byrne's run?

(Hey, and if it leads to a sweet new Alterton Bizarre sculpt, all the better.     )

And I certainly can't argue your point.

That's what quot;personal preferencequot; is all about and there ain't nuthin' wrong with that.

Garcia-Lopez made a sweetass Superman lithograph back in '88:
quot;Visually appealingquot;...  got that right.

I always thought Jon Bagdanove did a pretty decent Superman.
Though Garcia-Lopez is definitely a class act. DC certainly thought he captured the quot;lookquot; of their heroes as he did most of the artwork for the DC Style Guides.
