Last House on the Left Remake
So what do you think? I personally hate the original so I think anything would be an improvement.
When I first saw the trailer I thought they remade I Spit On Your Grave.

I dunno, the trailer didn't really grab my attention
I personally liked the first one. I don't think Hollywood can release a movie like I Spit On Your Grave again.
I like the original as well, despite a couple of hammy performances (the cops anyone...oh Martin Kove, you must be so proud... ) and some...interesting...musical choices. Still as far as no budget 70's drive in/grindhouse efforts go, it's one of the better ones in my opinion.
The only thing that's really got me interested in the remake is the fact that they got Garret Dillahunt as Krug. Dillahunt's a great actor, and definitely one of my favorite character actors of recent years after his recurring roles in Deadwood (where he played two different characters), Sarah Connor Chronicles (where he has technically played three different characters), John from Cincinnati, The 4400 and ER, as well as recent supporting film roles in Assassination of Jesse James, No Country for Old Men, and one of my most anticipated this year, The Road. So I'll be checking out this remake just on the strength of Dillahunt being given the lead, to see what he does with the role.
Oh God.. really?
'Course I want to see what happens to that dude with his head in the microwave. |
