Ok, here's my new pride n' joy! From Round One on Rocky's Vault: The one n' only Nova prototype MB! Pics are in bad (lamp) light, but you can get the idea. Some notes and changes:
- the overall sculpt by Carl Surges is same as production, except for the shift on right arm and head turn. It does look like there was some subtle resculpts on the fists, somewhat...something them up. I honestly like the original stance, more like the Nova #1 comic cover
- The blue wasn't metallic like the final one, but a close proximity - the gold yellow (sans Chrome helmet) was spot-on
- Note the other changes - the red base is gone, the yellow belt was removed and resculpted down to a slender into the base
- The eyes! The eyes! Sheesh, I love the white eyes better (so did Randy, as told to me)
- The base signed by Randy, but quot;RLquot; was Randy Lambert (the in-house painter)
- Bust is overall much lighter than actual production one - more curious than anything else, re: resin type?
Overall, I'm thrilled with the uniqueness of this item! Hope y'all enjoy!
