How to take the subway in New York?
I'll be going to New York tomorrow. I get off at Penn Station amp; then need to get to my hotel on 8th Ave between 51st amp; 52nd. Which line do I take? Once there amp; if I want to leave my hotel to hit Times Square or Rockefeller Center, which line do I take? I wanted to check out a comic shop on 14th. Which line for that? Lastly, when I leave the hotel to head back to Penn Station, which line? If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it!

Al from Penn to your hotel take the quot;Equot; train Uptown to 50th street. That will put you close to your hotel.
To go to Times square get back on the quot;Equot; (Going Downtown) and take to 42nd street. If you want to go to Rockefeller Center from 42nd street I would just walk from there.
Not sure what cross streets the comic shop is on, but the quot;Equot; train stops at 14th street as well.
Good Luck

I thought the 1 train from Penn Station to the 50th Street station would be closer but probably either one. Actually you wont be too far from my job at that point.
U can walk from your hotel to Rockefeller Center or the north part of Times Square. Or if you're too lazy take the 1 train again down one stop to 42nd street/Times Square.

Could be, but I know the quot;Equot; better than the other lines.

That is in case he winds up in Harlem, or the Bronx.
Seriously I don't know why, when I copied the map it had all of NY, but when I saved it to photobucked it only took the upper half of the map
All he has to do is open the link though.

Thanks guys! More questions....
When I come off the train at Penn Station, it says I have to walk North to 34th Street. Are there signs in Penn Station that say quot;Northquot; or quot;34th Street?quot;
and
Once I find the subway, how do I know which direction to take to get on say the E train?
