I highly doubt many are waiting for actual possession to sell....

Any thoughts on the quot;dry marketquot;

Typically with HH products you will not see fans or flippers inflating prices beyond retail on the Ebay. I personally have not seen any HH peices go signifcantly over retail like with some Bowen and Sideshow pieces. Angel is just not the kind of character that will generate a lot of fans dying for his sculpt. There are plenty still availible at Hard Hero and you will not find a lot on ebay at this point in time. Perhaps when all of them are sold out you may see a slight increase in price.

I'll say again and again if you are in this hobby looking for your statue to go up in price you will be sadly disappointed. There are better ways to invest your money, like stocks, bonds, precious metals and land will all do much better. You have to approach this hobby as if your statues will be worthless in a few years but you could still enjoy your statue. I look at my entire collection as worthless but to me its priceless. Buy your collection with the intention of not selling but its nice to know its worth a little something.

Mak, I am looking to buy one....not sell a stockpile.

Nice advice though for the people that your post is needed to inform.

You are welcome. I realize that you are not trying to fund your retirement with your collection but there are some on these boards who are more concerned with how much their statues are worth than enjoying the hobby.

I can see that people are trying to make a buck on some statues.  Sort of hard to guess who is going to be hot or not.....because they never post edition sizes any longer.

I have purchased two of certain statues before to make a buck......doubled my money.  I did fund some other statues that l liked as well.

For the most part though I hold onto what I buy.  Still have my first Bowen Hulk Mini Bust and all those from the begining.  I am sure I could double my money now if I liked across the board with my current collection.

But, that is not why I collect.

To each his own.

I look to the stock market, long term investing, and a good paying job with a good old fashion pension for the retirement though.

I agree that's not why I collect.

I believe the Angel has been a very good seller for HH. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they have almost sold through the edition run of 1000. At least that is what I heard. Honestly.
