Post your spare gift cards gift, checked, getting, justify

Just checked the dozen or so gift cards I had lying around hoping to use one on a qualifying piece but it turns out they all expired on Jan.31.11
Thought I would start an ongoing thread to see if people wanted to donate their unused card codes to others to make use of them?

If anyone has a valid $25 code, Id be really grateful - Ive been trying to justify getting the Colossus Legendary Scale bust for a while now, and almost have enough reward points to get him, but the $25 code would make it bang on perfect - that way, I tell myself, I dont need to get into the WHOLE LSB line, because I essentially got him for free :-)

gift card codes won't work unless you use them out of your own promo wallet. sideshow isn't letting them get passed around anymore

Oh really? Thanks for the update Ink, I didnt realise that, I assumed the cards they send out in the boxes could be inserted into anyone's promo wallet, not just the wallet of the person they were sent to?

If true then seems like a silly move on Sideshow's part, given that a) the vast majority of GC's are only $25, which isn't much of a discount on a high end item to begin with, and b) there are so many items gathering dust on the giftcard list now that you'd think they'd want to encourage anything that might help shift a few pieces.

Also if the GC's only work for the person they are sent to now, how many extra man-hours would it cost Sideshow to register gift cards to an account before packing and sending them out? Seems to me that it would cost more money than it would ever save...

Gift cards will work for anyone but IF you put it in your wallet then nobody else can use them. So just don't enter the code in your wallet and then you can give them away.  I don't think they have had many new promos in a while so there may not be many codes right now but I'm sure at SDCC there will be a new batch of them.
