How has Sideshow changed the way you collect?

I thought it would be fun to post how sideshow has changed the ways you collect..( good or bad)I never spent more then $150 on a statue until sideshow came along. Now my limit is around $550...

I used to collect animation/comic art when I was 17, statues have always been some of the cheaper items I bought, SS just introduced a larger scale for me, which is MUCH better.

Not much.

They have totally changed my collecting habits.  First of all, all I collected before them was CS Moore.  I also thought I would never spend more on a statue than when I spent $350 on the original Aphrodite IX statue.

Since getting into Sideshow, I have comiquette's, PFs and even an LSB.  I also over doubled my little $350 limit too LOL!

Basically the same as most guys here. Started out small. Growing up I had the usual Joes, M.A.S.K, TF..then moved on to Spawn in my teens.

Then Sideshow came along. They had me at quot;Helloquot;

I've bought a lot less, and limited my collection to only Marvel products PFs especially but occasional comiquettes if I like the way they turn out.  I used to buy maquettes and other stuff too but no more.

They have driven me to stop buying their crap completely.

Chris

Gotta love it in order to buy it ........will not buy out of a whim.

You're a hell of a lot better than me Derek.
I don't want to learn.

My collection is a mishmash of everything  from Anime  pvc's, Sota, McFarlane ,SS, Bowen, Moore, Gentle Giant, Dark horse, etc.

Just received She-Hulk and a 6 inch McFarlane pvc Ripclaw yesterday.

I have always been centered in diversity.
